Used green doesn’t clog upRobin Johnstone
This is one of the best rolls of sandpaper I’ve purchased. Doesn’t get clogged up like the cheap stuff available and stays sharp for ages making it better value in the long run. Essential when rubbing down jointing compound on walls and ceilings. One strip of this on a pole sander did all 4 walls and the ceiling of a kitchen I’ve been working on. Only loses one star as Screwfix could be a little lower on price.BOB69, Lincs
I think the liberty green paper is good and help get rid of bits.Matthew Eating

Always use oakey as best on marketScott Ingram
The flexible finishing pads are an essential part of our tool kit especially where work is undertaken in hallways with a variety of curved surfaces. Being female I prefer the handling quality of using an abrasive pad as our hands tend to be smaller .Emma Holland
Between coats love it lasts longer more grain in it and doesn’t break upFreddie Benton
Been using liberty green for years. It’s very good.G McColm
Used liberty green, and finds its a quality product and last much longer than the cheap stuffSteve Bowes
As a decorator I care about the quality of my work, and the satisfaction of my clients. So I am always striving to achieve a higher standard of craftsmanship. However, I always feel the final results of my painting is less than perfect. Having said that, the finish is good and the clients are delighted with my work.
I work predominantly in the domestic sector, so I mainly paint trims, skirting and doors. Normally, once I’ve rubbed down with Liberty Green P80 and undercoated, i’ll give them a light rub with some well-worn P120 sandpaper, or with ‘knackered’ wet/dry paper. Then dust down, ready for the final two top coats. Again, the final finish is good but not brilliant.
After obtaining a sample pack from the Oakey stand, at this year’s Painting and Decorating Show, I was flicking through the pack, when I came across a sample of ‘Between Coats’ finish paper. At first, I thought it was just smooth paper. Surely, this was a joke Oakey was playing, I thought. Wrong! The graded size of the abrasive grit was that small, it felt smooth. But would it work?
In fact, I was blown away with the results from using Between Coats finish paper. And to quote from another P & D manufacturer: ‘It did exactly what it said on the tin’ or rather on the
I tried out the paper on a small trial job. Once the undercoat was dry, I used the Between Coats finish paper to lightly rub over the undercoat. Although it seemed nothing was being abraded, it was actually subtly removing minuscule surface irregularities on the undercoat, providing a key for the next coat. After a wipe down, a top coat was applied and left to dry.
I repeated the method for the last top coat of paint, using the same piece of finish paper! The action of the paper seemed to be constantly refining the final finish, by finely, flattening the surface. And by removing imperfections, the application of the final top coat was like applying the paint to mirror- a silky smooth surface, yet the paint could adhere perfectly.
Examining the paintwork afterwards clearly demonstrated an immense improvement, and something I could not have imagined simply by using a finishing paper. Previously, I have always dismissed them as gimmicks, but again, I have been proved wrong. Finishing paper really works.
The final results of the trail were a resounding success – it was the best finish I had obtained.
Imagine the finish I could have obtained if I had used even finer, finishing paper, in the range!
I am sure clients will welcome an enhanced quality of their paintwork in their homes. So I will be definitely using finishing paper as apart of my methodology for all future work, because the resulting finish is superior. I was amazed just how resillient the sample of finish paper was. It is very robust, which meant it lasted longer, making it more cost effective. So I will be tempted to purchase a range of finer graded finishing papers, as well as your other abraded papers.Peter Bott
Regular user of lib green and have recommended between coats.Mike Cannaby
I’ve bought several rolls of this in the past and never been disappointed; I’m currently sanding down a well weathered window frame for treatment and repainting and this paper just keeps on going. I did take a chance on the cheaper paper Screwfix sell but found it clogged up too quickly and was pretty much useless. Although a bit too pricey in my opinion it is worth the extra dosh.3DLS, Huntingdon

I use Superflex for preparation, I find it a very versatile product.Paul Sharp
